The overpressure protection devices and under pressure closure devices protect downstream operations and equipment if the outlet pressure of the primary regulator exceeds the set point. The slam shut regulator also assures that gas flow shuts down when gas pressure drops below the set point for maintaining critical flow or pilot light. Some BelGAS regulators require a manual reset, ensuring the regulator will not be in operation again until it is safe to do so.
