Honeywell Gas Volume Corrector EC 350 | New Product Release
I am happy to announce that Honeywell has released the EC 350 PTZ gas volume corrector that is designed to optimize and simplify custody transfer and industrial natural gas measurement. The new corrector is more accurate, easier to install, and saves time and money over previous Mercury Honeywell correctors.
Honeywell Gas Volume Corrector EC 350
The EC 350 PTZ is a UMB and rotary mount instrument designed to help industrial users more accurately measure natural gas than earlier devices. The corrector optimizes the custody transfer of gas from the distributor to the industrial user while meeting industrial and government standards.
Electronic volume correctors (EVC)
The electronic volume corrector (EVC) is a principal component of gas measurement systems. A PTZ gas volume corrector translates the custody meter’s gas volume from the operating conditions to reference pressure and temperature conditions. It is, in essence, the cash register between the utility and the industrial users by communicating corrected gas volume.
The new EC 350 PTZ gas volume corrector is precise, has an easy-to-maintain design, and offers reliable performance for prolonged stability. Key benefits include improved accuracy, expanded memory and battery, advanced diagnostics, and integrated cellular communications. The new correctors offer gas distributors the reassurance of more accurate gas measurements in standard meter applications, which enable efficient monitoring and custody transfer documentation and usage.
What’s New?
The new model has a new digital pressure transducer that results in laboratory grade accuracy and long term stability. While the user interface is improved, the same well-received and familiar software is used so operators require minimal training.
The units come preconfigured, and factory tested. Like previous models, they are easy to install, even for an untrained technician. If ordered with AMR radio or built-in cellular radio, the device can be tested before going to the site which can reduce installation costs.
The EC 350 offers more standard features than previous correctors and can minimize the number of SKUs (stock keeping unit) and overall inventory costs. The new units have longer battery life and more long-term stability which will cut down on maintenance costs.
Additionally, EC 350 is integrated with data acquisition software suites (PowerSpring, Total Data Services, or SCADA systems).
The EC 350 is designed to measure, more precisely, gas volumes using pressure, temperature, and compressibility factors. The instrument can be easily programmed in the field and comes with a universal bracket-mount, wall-mount, and rotary-mount options.
